About Adam
Adam Fultz is an American composer whose musical voice has been profoundly shaped by his immersion in diverse cultural contexts across Ghana, Chad, and Morocco. Currently based in Rabat, Morocco, where he works as an economist at IDinsight, Adam’s compositional practice emerges from the intersection of his social sector background and deep engagement with local musical traditions. His works, described as thoughtfully crafted and boundary-crossing, have been performed throughout Africa and North America and reflect the rich exchanges that occur when musical languages meet and inform one another.
Originally trained in chemical engineering at Georgia Tech, Adam’s path to composition began through playing the saxophone in the school band and continued through studies with Michael Mikulka, Benjamin Dean Taylor, and Joseph Sowa. Since 2023, he has served as founding director of the Musaic Choir, a 25-voice ensemble dedicated to performing music from around the globe. Through his compositions and community leadership, Adam creates musical experiences that honor the complexity and beauty of cultural exchange, inviting audiences into conversations that transcend geographical and linguistic boundaries.
